of maryland, pennsylvania and southern virginia a couple warnings there. regional sweep mode a couple areas we are watching of some concern, one cluster here off to the west but you can see the trajectory of that will take it just south of us, some big storms down here and the biggest one up toward new york right now but we are in a relative quiet zone here in the baltimore area. we are not picking up anything. quiet for now but as we work into the rest of the night we could see a couple storms rumble. also look ahead to what is going to be one of the hottest weekends of the year so far. those details straight ahead. >> thanks wyatt. a baltimore county man has been charged with child abuse after police say he left his 5-year- old daughter inside a truck. witnesses spotted the child sitting in a locked pick up truck sunday morning. police arrived and broke a window to rescue the child an employee alerted shoppers to say what was happening but no one came forward. when hector hernandez came forward and approached the truck they arrested him. >>> police in bel air have broken a ring of silence an

possibly some flash flooding concerns as well. take a look at maryland's most powerful radar right now. you can already see big showers and storms, northern virginia, pounding places like cumberland maryland and moving towards frederick as we speak. flash flood watch up almost all central maryland, all of baltimore and dc area as well. a quick check of maryland's most powerful radar as we have it in motion here that is where the heaviest stuff is now. basically on a line from hagueers town down through winchester virginia, front loyal virginia and cull pepper, this will be moving steadily through dc and baltimore area through the evening. 80s. murky and humid now. another hour or so around baltimore but watching on the western side of town, expect showers and storms to arrive in the next few hours. much more about the outlook tonight. flood concerns how much things will change towards the weekend. all coming up rosie. >>> harper county authorities need your help catching a violent sex offender who seems to have struck again. the incident started in aberdeen and ended in forest hill

big story tonight at 11:00. day two of being left high and dry for nearly two million maryland residents. mandatory water bans still in effect tonight as emergency repairs continue on a faulty water main in potomac. fox 5's jennifer davis has those details. >> reporter: wssc says it will have people out here around the clockworking till this pipe is both drained and repaired but they say until that happens it is really important that customers out there restrict their water usage so that firefighters, hospitals and anyone would really need it is will have it. they say right now people are not cutting back enough. the problem is a weakened section of a 96-inch water main. they are asking all its customers to reduce their water usage by about a third t so far usessage has only declined less than 10%. the pool manager says they're doing their part. they held off filling the pool much longer than usual and wssc says everyone can do a little bit. >> no watering outside. no watering your lawns. don't wash your car. no topping off a swimming pool. inside your house folks can definitel

, maryland home. >> we have a cancer parent who has -- who is on insulin. we have two other elderly people in the block. every day i told them that. >> reporter: pepco says it will be midnight until power is restored to those who lost electricity from sunday's storm. much of the work centered in montgomery county where crews are running in to problems with underground service there. they say restoration right now is one customer at a time. >> in this gentleman's case, we had a crew on site. and they were doing work and when that work was finished, they assumed that everything was fine on that particular circuit. so they left. now we found out there was additional damage. >> reporter: he argues the claim by the montgomery county executive that the company was slow to respond. pepco says the immediate goal, of course, is to get folks back up and running. we are talking about 2700 people out of power including yesterday's storm and sunday's storm. 200 folks are still out of power since sunday. they say after that they will assess the situation, assess the job they have been doing, trying to b

he is charged with child pornography. curiosity is what a maryland state trooper claims led to his online activity. 47-year-old bruce allen tucker is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. >> he had to know it was illegal. >> baltimore county police began their investigation months ago. in june, they went to his house. the front door to the trooper's, still bears the marks where county police force it open. with the search warrant, they found more than 3000 images on his laptop. the pictures show children ages 2-14 performing various sex acts, tied up, or partially nude. in many of the photos, adults are involved in sexual activity with girls and boys. >> there is no indication at this time that he was involved in the taking of pictures or that he was depicted in in any of the images with these children. >> no one responded when we tried to contact tucker at his home. he was listed friday. according to court documents, he told investigators that in 2005 his wife cheating on him and left him. he became very depressed, felt worthless, and became angry. he bega
